A while back while I was on my way to Texas leaving
Hawaii , I found myself on the airplane looking for a place to sit. As I was scoping the available seats, I decided that I would sit next to this couple that caught my attention. The woman who was sitting there had such a bright personality so I sat for conversational reasons. I figured that it would make the trip more enjoyable or interesting at least. As it happened to turn out, interesting it was. The airplane started to prepare for take off as everyone placed their seatbelts on and we took off. Once we were in the air and comfortable in our seats the couple and I started to talk for a while. The gentlemen had happened to be from the D.C. part of the country where he worked as a consultant/counselor for various corporate heads as well as politicians. I found this interesting. Upon further inquiry, I found that he was a psychic whose job was a counselor to those who hired him. Now at this point I did not go off on a Christian religious tangent, however, we did discuss some issues concerning world religions and Christianity. I did not tell him that I was a prophet, but I told him that I was a minister of the gospel. He began to tell me how he was going home to check up on his house by way of astral projection and he went to sleep. I continued to talk to his wife for a while and then we just sat back and enjoyed the flight. In this situation, this man was a psychic of whom people hired as a consultant. We who name the name of Jesus know and believe that psychics do not derive their "powers" from God and that they operate in the spirit realm, but in the realm of the demonic. There is a need to grasp and understand that if a thing is not of Godly origin, then the other origin it could be of is either the carnal nature or of a demonic nature - both of which Satan has influence over. My question to you is, where are the modern day prophets? Why are people not seeking the word of the Lord at the prophet's mouth? Do they not believe? Are the prophets powerless? What is going on that causes the unbeliever and the believer alike to distrust the office of the prophet in the present?
Today, prophets do exist. The Holy Writ speaks to us of prophets who were of the Gentiles and those of which the Biblical Text emphasizes. Prophets in the Old Testament had and operated in extraordinary power. They raised the dead, healed the sick, shut up the skies, had power over the weather, had authority over nature, and every created object whether a bear or an axe head, obeyed, understood, and was under the authority of the word of the prophet. This is the legacy of the ministry of the prophet in the Bible, yet we hardly see any of that today. What is the problem? What do you think it is? Well, I am not here to be a definitive voice on what is right or wrong concerning the church, but as a prophet, I will convey to you what causes the disbelief and trust of the world and some believers. This word is mainly for leaders: Apostles, Pastors, Teachers, Evangelists, Prophets, Bishops, Prelates, CEO's, Directors, Politicians, and the like. Firstly, for most people, they consider their pastor, in whatever ascension gift he may operate in, to be the leading prophet in their life. This is good, but there needs to be more apostolic understanding concerning the ascension gifts. If you are a member of a local church, whether lay member or leader, then the chief prophet in your life should be your pastor and any other prophetic gifting that is allowed or has been given authority in that local house. This is orderly and needful. It prevents the promulgation of false doctrine and confusion. This is acceptable and right. The sad thing is, that most churches do not allow the prophets in the house to operate due to the pastor wanting to be all five of the ascension gifts in one. Pastors need to operate in their pastorate, and pastoral authority and at the same time recognize, release, and allow those who have the ascension gifts to be released and be in operation in the church. No one man has all five ascension gifts. If you have the Holy Spirit, then of course, God can manifest and use anyone of the three classes of gifts mentioned in the Bible, (whether motivational, manifestation, or ascension) through you.
This is a time of the Apostle and the Prophet. This is what you hear and is being taught right, however the church at large has released and accepted the Apostle, but has not universally accepted the Prophet. I started with the story above because just as those politicians and CEO's felt a need to have some sort of spiritual counselor, or someone whom they thought was hearing from the "divine", how much more true is it that as a Pastor, Apsotle, Evangelist, Prophet, Teacher, Bishop, Director, Business Owner, Politician, and the like - do you need a prophet of the true and Living God in your life. Most ministries today sit under someone else as a covering and that is good for mentorship, leadership, watchcare, discipleship, and pastoral covering - but they are not with you 24/7 nor will you have access to them 24/7 nor do they have every word from God that you will ever need or get.
God has so ordained that in the fruits of a multiplicity of gifts, will his fullness be revealed alone. This makes sure he gets all the glory and not only a few select people. What we have done today is limit who God is by looking to one man or one woman as the only voice of God. Hear me. I am not talking about saints who are immature and listen to five thousand preachers and call it God - no. I am talking about, when you have a business decision to make, or you are at a standstill in ministry, or when you need people who are on your level to help propel you forward. Every leader needs an prophet in their chambers to help them push, press, and proceed on to their next level. Any time a prophet comes into your midst, their is something that God wants to reveal, give, break, birth, release, or break down. Don't give the world to psychics. Invest in the prophets in your life. Take them seriously, and allow them to get you to your next level in God. Everyone needs a prophet in their life. Whose yours?
